Runner

Cross the field. Keep an exit.

Read the crossing, watch the pursuer and decide where your next change of direction can go.

What the Runner is trying to do

The beginner report describes Runners crossing the arena three times while a Chaser tries to catch them. The place-linked footage visibly prompts players to reach the opposite safe side. Start with the objective on your current HUD rather than a route drawn for another game.

A knife hit, a downed state, a rescue opportunity and a later team conversion are not necessarily one simultaneous event. The article’s immediate-conversion wording conflicts with its own rescue advice; footage and the Rescue Kit card show a rescue opportunity. We do not assign an exact conversion timer.

A useful first-round practice plan

These are practice suggestions, not a measured optimal strategy. Crowds can distract a pursuer, but they can also hide the approach and another player’s downed state. There is no safe-route guarantee.

  1. Identify the destination side and where the Chaser is before committing.
  2. Try the reported A/D + Space sideways dash in a low-pressure moment.
  3. Leave room for another change of direction rather than treating a straight sprint as a fixed route.
  4. After a catch, read the state the game shows before assuming you can revive or have already changed teams.

Rescue is a decision, not a promise

The published Rescue Kit card says it can revive you when downed during a crossing, while rescue is available. The video’s dialogue also describes another player being revived. That supports the existence of a rescue opportunity, not unlimited recovery.

Before buying or trying the kit, distinguish having it equipped, owning charges and being in the eligible state. A pack contains charges; that does not establish how many you may spend in one match.

Choose an effect you understand

The guide reports Cloak, Pocket Door and Emergency Airhorn as Runner abilities. Cloak is reported as concealment while still allowing hits; do not equate being harder to see with being immune. A temporary door is an obstacle, not proof of a permanently safe passage.

Read your current shop card and role label before spending Gems. Learn one effect before making a purchase based on an unsupported tier list. The equipment reference separates published reports from footage observations.

After a round, ask one specific question

A concrete observation is more useful than assuming you need the most expensive ability. This guide does not promise wins, an exact reaction-time window or a current-server rules test.

  • Did you read the destination prompt before moving?
  • Did a turn or dash send you where you expected?
  • Were you downed, rescuable or already converted when you tried an item?
  • Did you mistake concealment for invulnerability?
